SSA, Hy-Line cancel boat service

(Jan. 18, 2010) The Steamship Authority has canceled freight and car ferry trips, and Hy-Line Cruises its fast-ferry due to expected high winds.
The SSA canceled the 6 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Gay Head from Hyannis and 8:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. from Nantucket, and the 9:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Eagle from Hyannis and noon and 5:30 p.m. from Nantucket.
As of 5:15 p.m., there were 15 cars and eight trucks on standby in Hyannis, and 21 cars and 12 trucks on standby on Nantucket.
The Hy-Line has canceled all Grey Lady service today.
